Boels-Dolman’s Amalie Dideriksen and Cylance professional, Rachele Barbieri will head up a strong Voxwomen Team at first round of the Revolution Series in Manchester this weekend.
Both riders have strong track credentials and are expected to be at the forefront of the racing, which is sure to be fast and furious as the Revolution Series celebrates its first ever, Elite Women’s Championship.
Dideriksen took fifth place in the Olympic Omnium in Rio this summer and is a former double Junior World Road Champion and Danish National Road Race Champ.
Barbieri is equally as impressive having just won the Red Hook Criterium in Barcelona and is a former Junior European Team Pursuit and Points Race champion.
Both Dideriksen and Barbieri will be joined for the first round by young British track star, Amber Joseph.
There will be tough competition on the night for the Voxwomen Team from Matrix Fitness, Podium Ambition Pro Cycling, Footon Velosport, Team Jadan-Weldtite, Team Breeze, Planet X-BOGO, and Team Ireland.
Anthony McCrossan, Voxwomen Founder, said: “We’re starting the first round of the Revolution Elite Women’s Championship with an impressive team – Dideriksen and Barbieri have fantastic track craft and are sure to create some exciting racing. We’re also pleased to welcome Amber Joseph to the Voxwomen Team. We’re looking forward to showcasing women’s track cycling.”
The women will race in the Revolution UK Championship and the Champions League.
