Hi guys! It’s been a while since I wrote my last blog.
Time flies – everybody knows that, especially when you are truly happy in your life, in your beautiful body, in your mind and warm heart; when you don’t worry about things that you actually cannot control but just enjoy every moment spent with your own small, valuable circle of people that you love!
I consider myself to be very blessed, to be in this place in my life where I can learn, explore, travel, evolve, meet new people and constantly move forward. This off-season gave me more than I expected. I stopped waiting, I started to make the most of the moment I was in!
Being a cyclist is not all about training, resting and having a wonderful group of people around you to help you achieve your goals – there are moments where its pretty difficult to find a right balance between what we want to grasp from every single day and what really makes us happy and satisfied! I met beautiful human beings who helped me to spread my wings and to appreciate everything that life brings me, even those inconvenient situations. I’m stronger in my mind and there is still a lot of room to improve… I want to keep on developing myself, not only physically but also mentally.
I took a big, well-deserved break after the World Championships to clean my head and body from all those frustrating thoughts of disappointment and frustration that were stuck deep inside me. I did a lot of crazy things and have no regrets at all! I made amazing memories that bring a smile to my face and make me laugh so hard. Its been a fabulous time with my family, friends and my man!
I reached the point where I wanted to train so bad, where I wanted to eat healthily and take care of my body, without being forced to, or forcing myself to. I started my preparation a few weeks ago and already now, with hand on heart, I can admit that I feel a lot better than last year.
One of the biggest factor is the fact that I have changed the team! CANYON-SRAM!!! Mamamiaaaaaa! I’m super stoked to be a member of this family.
During our first training camp I received a huge dose of happiness, motivation and inspiration from all riders and staff. There is this faith and force within the team that make me want to move the walls to achieve all our goals! New equipment, kit and a new environment is all I needed! I want to train hard as well as rest hard… another lesson that I learned from my life is to listen to your body! ALWAYS! That makes you stronger. Believe me!
Currently I am in Girona, having fun, enjoying every ride and feeling loved and happy!
P.S. EVERY THOUGHT IS NEW
